Dan Peers has been involved in the auto industry his whole life. He grew up with his dad owning a large auto body shop in the Omaha area. He worked for his dad at his body shop for many years. He attended Milford Community College and completed his associates degree in auto body repair technology in 1995.
Dan opened up his own auto body shop in 2006, Peers Auto Works. He ran a successful custom and restoration shop for 15 years. Recently sold his shop to focus on taking over his father’s Antique Auto Appraisal business that originated in 1982.
Dan and his dad have been actively involved in the Cornhusker Corvette Club and the Omaha Soap Box Derby for years. Dan’s family has a long-time history of enjoying antique cars, specifically Corvettes. Dan and his dad host an annual All Corvette show that raises funds for Omaha Soap Box Derby.
Dan enjoys attending as many car shows and club events throughout the year as he can. Dan has restored countless classic cars over the years and has won many awards including truck of the year at SEMA in 2011. It was published in RIDES Magazine March/April of 2012. Due to Dan’s passion for classic cars and increased need for knowledge appraising vehicles, Dan was trained to appraise custom vehicles by Classic Auto Appraiser’s founder, Jeff Hyman in June of 2022.
